Taiko in Schools
We are committed to providing educational outreach to schools. Our Taiko In Schools program, created in 1995, has introduced our energetic art form to over 13,000 Sacramento area children. Main features of this program include:
- Age-specific presentations for students from kindergarten through twelfth grade
- Life lessons such as the importance of team work and respect for one another
- Enthusiasm and appreciation of cultural, gender, and age diversity
The success of Taiko In Schools can be shown in the increased demand for performances and the invitation by the California Arts Council to participate in the Exemplary Arts Education Partnership.
